Shipping Policy

Handcrafted art takes time. Here is everything you need to know before placing your order.

Processing Time

Every Maithilii piece is individually hand-painted by a master artisan. Because each product is made with exceptional care, please allow 10 business days from the date of order confirmation for your item to be prepared and dispatched.

Processing time is separate from delivery time. Your total wait from order to arrival is approximately 14–16 business days for most locations in India.

For custom commission pieces, processing time is longer — typically 3–6 weeks. This will be communicated clearly at the time of order.

Delivery Timelines

Once dispatched, standard delivery timelines within India are:

Destination Estimated Delivery
Metro cities (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad) 3–4 business days after dispatch
Tier-2 & Tier-3 cities 4–6 business days after dispatch
Remote / rural areas 6–8 business days after dispatch

Delivery estimates are provided by our courier partners and may vary due to public holidays, local conditions, or peak season demand.

Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on your delivery location and order value. We regularly offer free shipping promotions — any applicable free shipping threshold will be shown clearly on the cart and checkout pages.

For standard orders, shipping charges are displayed transparently before payment — there are no hidden charges.

Regions Served

Order Tracking

Once your order is dispatched, you will receive a tracking number via email and/or SMS. You can use this number on the courier partner's website to track your shipment in real time.

If you do not receive a tracking number within 11 business days of placing your order, please contact us at hello@maithilii.com.

Packaging

Each Maithilii piece is packed with care — wrapped in tissue, placed in a protective bag, and boxed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. We use minimal and recyclable packaging materials wherever possible.

Damaged or Lost Shipments

If your order arrives damaged, please photograph the item and packaging immediately and contact us at hello@maithilii.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will work with the courier to resolve the issue promptly.

In the rare event of a lost shipment, please allow an additional 3 business days beyond the estimated delivery window before contacting us — some delays are caused by local courier conditions. We will raise a claim with the courier on your behalf.
